Shouldn't is "acknowledging"? How can Americans be so deaf and blind as not to know about the Koch brothers funding the Tea Party? How can the Supreme Court say corporations have the rights of an individual human being? Obviously there are lots of things happening to us that have nothing to do with voting your preferences and beliefs. Republican party support for the richest only makes this worse and worse. It's past time to wake up. I just heard Wolf Blitzer reporting on the negotiations for Bush tax cut extensions that made no reference to the idea that the Republicans and the rich are destroying the middle class. Arrrgh!
This comment by Roosevelt has been repeated over and over in one form or fashion by men of power since the dawn of the US, and even further back in history. It is where We the People need to focus our energies if we ever want real change, and a restoration of a sane Republic. But the rabbit hole is very deep, and very dangerous, and many have died trying to expose the real powers that run our world, as they generally prefer to remain in the shadows. I'm afraid that time is growing short however, as they are emerging from their hidey-holes and showing the world who they are and what they plan to do, yet so many people refuse to acknowledge that something is rotten in Denmark, even if it is in their long term interest to do so. Keep up the good work, Dylan.
Truth to Power is the only way we can save ourselves. There are now “Czars” that make decisions that Congress, the President and the Supreme Court should be making. Do away with bureaucrats who are usurping power and have no allegiance to The People. We have government agencies that are classifying everything they do, even though most of their actions should be published for The People according to the Bill of Rights. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press;…”
