Dylan Ratigan Mad as Hell His Epic Network Moment We've got a real problem...this is a mathematical fact. Tens of trillions of dollars are being extracted from the United States of America.
Putting Our Money Where Our Mouth Is After 780 hours of political cable news, 6000 hours of live financial television, 45 cities, 2 national jobs tours, 277,963 signatures to amend The Constitution, 245 pages of book and a promotion tour for Greedy Bastards, I was exhausted.
Im Mad As Hell How About You Yesterday, on TV, I exploded. I spent two minutes giving a primal yell at our political system, demanding the extraction of our money and dignity end. It was my most heartfelt and emotional moment on television, ever.

During the Cold War, the US chose Uranium-Plutonium reactor technology, (over Thorium reactor technology), since it was the preferred method in dealing with excessive amounts of Plutonium produced in the manufacture of nuclear weapons. While the Uranium method has made its shortcomings abundantly evident over the past month, isn't it time to look at Thorium power as the cheaper, safer, more environmentally friendly path forward for nuclear energy? The technology is there. The fuel is 4 times more plentiful than Uranium. But where is the political will?
Here's some information that's highly unlikely to come up tonight, though it certainly should. Since GM introduced their Flex Fuel vehicles, there have been two really obvious questions that no one in the media has asked. How long has it been known that internal combustion engines would run on such a high percentage of ethanol? And what did they have to do to the engine to make this possible? In other words, what makes Flex Fuel cars different from other cars? The short answer to the first question is, it's been known all along. And the second question? Apparently, they did next to nothing. The truth is internal combustion engines run on ethanol and always have. And every IC vehicle on the road right now could be running on 100% ethanol, or any combination of gas and ethanol, with just the addition of a relatively reasonably priced ethanol convertor, already on the market. Don't believe me? Think ethanol destroys the engine and/or rots the hoses? Watch this video, then read Bill Kovarik's fascinating history of why we use gasoline. We are not now, nor have we ever been "addicted to foreign oil." With regard to the yield issue we're told prevents the practical use of cellulose for ethanol has been solved for over a decade, and the DOE definitely knows it as do others in government, and all the major oil companies. And the highest-yielding cellulose crop was identified by the Dept. of Agriculture in 1916. I have much additional information on this subject, if you really mean what you say on TV. See next comment for links.
We have ignored a substantial change in this policy for far too long. It is imperative we make the necessary changes to promote renewable energy and significantly lessen the dependence on fossil fuels and nuclear power.

Earlier today Mr. Ratigan showed a fascinating interview concerning a startling prospect of powering vehicles with "feathers". The concept was that feathers of chickens could be heated or fried producing large amounts of nanopores which would act as a "sponge" for storage of hydrogen as a fuel for hydrogen-powered vehicles . Can Mr. Pickens or anyone on the panel comment on hydrogen powered engines? It is a completely fascinating and new idea for me.
I missed most of the program… but from what i saw, it was excellent. How can we look at the whole program on a replay? Thanks, jhh
Love your show, but your treatment of Josh Fox was disgraceful. I understand that it is tempting to believe natural gas will be the great new alternative, but his points on the dangers of fracking were not "proaganda," as you put it, but legitimate, and should not have been dismissed. I expect more from your program.
While the treatment was rude, it does get tiring to hear Fox spout off constantly about how horrible drilling and fracing is without facts and claim wind and sun are the solution without a plan. Chicken Little much? People should not be so swayed by the “everyone hates drilling that is around it” and “it’s destroying the environment completely” claims. Can we see some true stats and numbers please? Not ridiculous hyperbole?
Dylan Stop saying 14 Trillion. Start saying fourteen thousand billion. Get it. Trillion has no meaning.
I'm watching your show right now about the 54 mpg gas standard by 2024. My car gets 46 mpg highway right now – it is a Volkswagon Jetta turbo diesel. It gets 30 mph in city.
