Dylan on the “Greedy Bastards” Tour at San Francisco’s Commonwealth Club
January 25, 2012
As part of the Greedy Bastards book tour, we had an incredible event at the Commonwealth Club of California, a historic club in San Francisco. Take a listen to Dylan’s interview with Quentin Hardy, Deputy Technology Editor of The New York Times. It was a great conversation about creating the 30 million jobs we need in our country, getting money out of politics, and the the barriers to investment in America in 2012, with Q&A from the audience. Here’s the full video of the event:
Here are some great behind the scenes photos as well, courtesy of San Francisco based photographer Rikki Ward and the Commonwealth Club.

Mr. Ratigan talks about transparency but his language is opaque and abstract. Why is there no in depth (radical) analysis about the inherent flaws of capitalism! More and more mainstream economists, Nouriel Roubini and Joseph Stiglitz for instance, refer to (gasp) Karl Marx as being right-on about the internal contradictions that make capitalism a predatory system, inevitably leading to the corruption which so disturbs Mr. Ratigan. His indignant chatter about the arcane, unethical manipulations of Wall Street is a waste of time if we don't envision a system that would respond to the needs of working folks. I submit that the socialism practiced by the social-democracies of Europe is a large step in the right direction. You can't reform 'greedy bastards' by nibbling around the edges.
