Tour Diary: Greedy Bastards at Books & Books in Coral Gables, FL
January 26, 2012Along side the 30 Million Jobs tour, we’re running a little side project called the Greedy Bastards book tour — as you may know by now, Dylan loves talking to everyone (Ed note: everyone!) while we’re on the road, and last night was no exception. We visited Books and Books in Coral Gables, Florida for a discussion on the book, getting money out of politics, our messed up financial regulation system, and a discussion of our economy in 2012.
If you’re ever in Miami or Coral Gables, be sure to check out their incredible bookstore — and special thanks to Christina, Mitchell, and the entire Books and Books team for making last night so much fun, and such a success!
Here are some behind the scenes shots from last night (the full set is here) — and be sure to keep up with our upcoming tour dates here.

Talking banking, trade, taxes, financial reform…

This attendee had an awesome question about student loans and jobs…

Please be accurate—in Az and most of the nation we doctors are capitated thru HMO models or are paid a small portion of what we charge (you can charge a $1000 or $100 for an office visit or procedure and you will only be paid on a maximum allowable charge basis).
This is why we need a single payor source model where are paid for wellness and keeping a patient healthy versus treating illness and then spending greater than 90% of all costs for a particular patient during the last 2 years of a patients life.
