America wastes two thirds of the fuel we use every day. Our stationary power generation is the same as it was in the 1950’s, far behind Europe and Asia. 8 out of 10 gallons of gas burned in a car is wasted as excess heat or idle.
Entire nations are generating up to 50% of stationary power using solar generated by individuals and communities.
WHERE Community Hero’s Are Leading Us?
In Germany, culture equates to self-generated power with social status and freedom. The government relaxed restrictions to allow individuals to convert and upgrade their homes and land to produce more power than they were using, and in the process, the entire nation is one of the least carbon polluting for home electric.
SUMMARY
The American energy debate is locked in a righteous fuel source debate from solar to natural gas. Meanwhile we ignore the massively outdated power grid, auto efficiency, power generation waste and residential and commercial heat waste. As we audit our homes and businesses, we can save money, create jobs and establish national security while preserving clean air and water for future generations.
At the same time, we can honor our returning Veterans by following their lead in securing our energy independence, capitalizing on their skills and passion to serve, while creating jobs and caring for our communities.
